Im from the Generation where AIDS was too common. Growing up in East Africa i witnessed how this virus torn families apart, alienated victims and made a human being suffer more than ever. I have lost a family member from this disease. Sad thing about it is that in this day and time, you cannot tell who is infected or not. This is a double edged sword because on the positive side, one cannot dehumanize the victims but on the negative, people become naive and stop precautions.Let us also strive to get to the root of this disease and realize that a cure could be in reach. I truly believe so.
